My SO was at these fires, the one today at 18th and Prarie was phenomenal. He said every minute they would update from still,box,2alarm, etc and in a very short time it was a 5-11 with special order engines. He said it could have been worse because the wind was fierce and embers were flying and if they had communicated to this one section of houses, that would have been it. As it stands one residence was burned. He said the heat was so intense the bricks were exploding.

One of the fires we've had in these 3 days, was a van parked in a business garage. The fire was started to cover up a four person murder.

This is fire season here and we will, unfortunately have many more.

The one Rogers Park fire yesterday, was in CL's territory, so she can tell you more maybe?
