What is very distressing to me is that if this TOP SECRET memo is leaked this quickly (written October 27th) we have a very BIG problem in the Intelligence Committee, and the Senate and House.

People need to be brought on charges for leaking information. Just think is something is leaked that causes the deaths of tens, or hundreds, of military personel, or civilians.

Agree that there appears to be a big problem... But there was an origination point and a destination point.... so it could have been from either or maybe even somewhere else... But Oscam's razor would point where you said.

Odds are that whoever leaked this report to the Weekly Standard also leaked the subversive Dem memo to Hannity.

It would not surprise me if the leaker isn't a committee staffer on the Dem side, who has become immune to the Kool-aid.

Nor would it surprise me that the leak was stimulated by the Democrats' failure to respond properly to the exposure of their blatent attempt to subvert the committee. And, secondarily, to make Carl Levin look like the partisan fool that he is.

One of the Democrat staffers has re-discovered that he is an American...and turned vigilante...

I'm praying that the intelligence people actually did a number of reports, with slightly different wording so that any quotes might be tracked down to the source. Intel briefings like this have NO BUSINESS IN POLITICS! We're talking about national security, and the lives of our fighting men, and more recently, the lives of our fellow citizens.

I hope that they do track down exactly who leaked this informations... Though it's good news, it's possibly far more damaging to national security, and who ever leaked it should be arrested and charged with treason, and given the fact we're in a defacto state of war, should be put on trial for his or her life.

That was my first thought as well - even if it supports "our side" or confirms our beliefs, leaking of top secret information is still wrong, and has the potential of being very dangerous to our national security.

Folks, this memo was written by Douglas Feith. It's highly likely he leaked it as well.

Relying on Feith to provide "proof" of a bin Laden-Saddam link is like asking the fox to count the chickens in the hencoop. He's not exactly an unbiased source; indeed the opposite, Feith has enormous interest in "proving" a bin Laden-Saddam connection, since he was the main architect of this war.

Surprised by the lack of skepticism here...

I agree. I had a Top Secret Clearance when I was in the Air Force. We constantly had it drilled into us how to protect information and what we could and couldn't say. I get so mad when I hear about all these leaks, even if this one helps prove our side was right.
