Well, his parents certainly had the money and connections. The media often talks about the fact that GWB's parents were rich but almost never brings up the fact that Dean's family was extremely wealthy as well.

He has about as much credibility on the subject of populism as silver-spoon Al Gore.

The headline should read:

At Florida event, Democrats make foul noises.

The media also persisted in calling George W. Bush "George Bush Jr." when Albert Gore was actually "Albert Gore Junior" (and his Senator dad had tried and failed to get the Presidential ticket in the 1950s).

Very true. "Junior" doesn't mean anything either way but it is indicative that the media would be biased on such an insignificant issue.

Sounds like another outbreak of "Hoof in Mouth Disease".

Would someone please notify the Center For Disease Control. If the nation acts now, this outbreak can be contained by November, 2004.

I just love hearing about the Dem's continuously shooting themselves in the foot!!

Maybe in this case it's shouting themselves in the foot!

Is it just me, or is the near constant presence of the shade of George McGovern presaging a repeat of DemDebacles past? Their platform, mostly nursing real and perceived grievances, is the platform of a party with nothing to offer.

They may indeed be shouting (sic) themselves in the foot.

I am old enough to remember that race but I wasn't paying attention then.

All I know is that if you haven't learned anything from history, you will be cursed to relive it.

It was back in the sixties. George McGovern, and in 1968 (you may have heard of the 'police riot' at the Chicago convention), Eugene McCarthy dragged large hunks of the democratic party to the left. Humphrey lost to Nixon.

McGovern is poster boy for the far left dems, the ones who lose and lose big. His spirit is wafting around the upcoming election.
