Thanks, Kat. I didn't know the Iraqi National Symphony was scheduled to play in DC. Wouldn't this have been a concert to remember!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Iraqi National Symphony performed for President Bush and a large audience Tuesday night...
The 63-member Iraqi group was joined by the Washington National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Leonard Slatkin, music director of the Washington Symphony, shared the stage with Iraqi conductor Mohammed Amin Ezzat in leading the combined orchestra...
Cello virtuoso Yo-Yo Ma also performed with the orchestras.
Very cool, When stability is achieved in Iraq and the Iraqi people become self sufficient and self governed, the Iraqi's will be building monuments to George W. Bush and our Soldiers who liberated them. History will show that George W. Bush could have easily ignored the threat Saddam posed and boasted about the great success in Afghanistan and left it at that, but instead, George W. Bush risked it all in order to change the world. The final chapter has yet to be written, but if George W. Bush's vision for the spread of democracy in the middle east becomes reality, he will go down as one of the greatest leaders this world has ever seen
