I lived in this neighborhood (Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood) for 5 years.

This is a 'vanilla' gay bar, full of what we used to call 'yuppies' and 'lipstick lesbians'. Wannabes. It's anything but hard core.

If he was trying to make a point, or build credibility 'in this community' (which to be honest is a joke: who among the gays are going to vote for GW?) he'd have been better off at the 'ManHandler'. But, that wouldn't play too well in Peoria, would it?

I rather think it frustrates the gay community that the dems tease them like this.
