Now, pay attention. I'm leaving, but I promise to read your response and maybe even reply if you have something of substance to say. So don't feel abandoned and throw a tantrum. I hope homosexuals have more impulse control than you. Is there a study on that?

Better yet, just claim victory and move on.

When are you going to provide any evidence in support of your position? We keep asking and you keep dodging.

On second thought, I should have said I was just lying and making stuff up, easier for you to believe.

Yep, that's the same thread I just linked to. Now provide a post number where you debunked anything there.

Oh, and stating how you feel, what you believe or what you heard about a matter is not debunking anything.

I think conservatives are being a little hypocritical. Either you support States rights or you don't. If the individual states want to create civil unions, that is their business, not the federal governments.

I oppose gay unions but I do believe the States have a right to vote on it.

I do support the Constitutional ammendment because that is the legal manner the founding fathers wanted the federal goverment to use when expanding their powers.

Obviously you can't defend your statements with supporting evidence so you have to resort to the above, which, unfortunately, is very common for you on the homosexual threads. You haven't debunked anything, no matter how you try to spin it.

"A sodomite is one who practices sodomy."

I'm now curious whether you know what sodomy is. Sodomy is not just certain acts between members of the same sex, but also those same things between members of the opposite sex. So do also advocate outlawing or condemning oral sex between a man and his wife? After all, the man and wife who engage in such are, by your definition and by the dictionary's definition, sodomites.

You say I'm not teching you anything. Try paying attention and doing more careful reading.
If you're trying to teach how to dodge the issues you're doing a fantastic job. Fortunately lj has intelligence and integrity so your teaching has no effect on him. Try supporting your statements with something other than how you feel, what you think or what you heard about a matter.

I think conservatives are being a little hypocritical. Either you support States rights or you don't.

Well, this particular "states right" implicates the full faith and credit clause of the Constitution. Allowing each state to determine this issue for itself means nothing if the SCOTUS is primed, as it seems to be, to force all 50 states to recognize Massachussets' particular "take" on the issue.

The only effective bulwark that can be erected to protect marriage from an activist SCOTUS that favors the gay-rights agenda is a constitutional amendment.

"The odds are greatly in favor of the child ending up lesbian or highly promiscuous."

I'm curious about this statement. I would expect that the daughter of lesbians might have a tendancy toward lesbianism. But promiscuity? My observation demonstrates that most "promiscuous" girls are from straight families. Is there some evidence that supports your statement?

Was wondering your thoughts on how homosexuals can come out of a heterosexual marriage.

Here's a great place to start.

Homosexuality and Genetics
While I realize you're not really interested in what science has to say on this matter, others are.

Yes there are. While most girls come from heterosexual families which skews the percentages, kids raised by homosexuals follow specific patterns as demonstrated in some studies. I have to some things to do but will be back. One place to start looking is here:

Homosexual Agenda: Categorical Index of Links
I realize there's a lot to read there, but your answer is somewhere in that listing. I can specifically point it out when I return.

No offense, but the President can't be any more forceful... (unless you want him to call down fire from Heaven and consume all gays in America) He has repeatedly stated that he is against gay marriag and that marriage is between a man and a woman. He has stated that he supports a constitutional amendment.

But, he cannot tell the states what to do. He can only act on the federal level.

Yet... all this is not enough for you.

Homosexual marriage is strictly an effort to institutionalize a private bedroom behavior for gratification alone.

BINGO.

I do not support any attempt to make it illegal for homosexuals to sign agreements on join property, include each other in their wills, or enter into any other private contractual agreement.

I also do not support any attempt on the part of the Federal Government to restrict states rights to create whatever they want, including homosexual marriage (oxymoron).

I do support the Federal Government ensuring that no state has to recognize the laws of another with regard to homosexual unions.

That should be simple enough to do and conservative enough for everyone.

Shalom.

"I do support the Federal Government ensuring that no state has to recognize the laws of another with regard to homosexual unions."

We wrote similar things. California actually did another thing right a few years ago when passing Prop 22 (I believe). Although the gay activists tried to claim...no state allows gay marriage so why define it, the people of California passed Prop 22 saying that California will only recognize marriage as between a man and woman.

That being said, the people who complain about the federal judiciary are correct. The federal judges in San Francisco already have a history of interfering in California passed state propositions.
