While in Europe, I noticed a trend of lacing tobacco cigarettes with hashish. Ruined both. Most American users shun this mixture, typically choosing the former or the latter, or the former just after the latter, but rarely together. BTW, there is no such thing as a 'gateway' drug.

I remember some GIs returning from Europe in the 70s doing it. I could never see the reason - except maybe to hide the smell of the hash?
