Straight off, Governor Arnold accomplished something wonderful. In the California money crunch crisis, the Democrats thought they half-won. The Republicans thought they half-won. This is called ... "Compromise." And with the bond issue headed for the March ballot, Arnold wholly won, leaving bemusement in his wake.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger answers a question at his first press conference, on Nov. 18 at Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento. He's an affable fellow with high self-esteem - a condition that runs rampant in the worlds of Hollywood, sport and financial mastership.

What else can Arnold do, given that the State Assembly has Dem majorities in both chambers??? The hypergeeks on Freep really amaze me. Superficially conservative, principled to the Nth degree, (at least in their own minds), yet so woefully impractical, illogical, and just plain out silly. The GOP majority is due to the grace of G-d, not the ingenuity of these punks. LOL, if you're not thankful for the little that you now have, even what you have will be taken away, kitties. Gawd, what ignorance!!!
When the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a ditch. LOL, count me out of that absurd herd.....

I get the impression that the writer really wants to hate Schwarzenegger but can't quite bring himself to do it. But I'm puzzled by his reference to a "beautiful wife from a good family." The Governator was married before?
