Taking advantage of the lull before Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger presents his budget late next week, business groups Tuesday stepped up their campaign against a ballot initiative that would make it easier for the Legislature to pass a spending plan and raise taxes.

Gridlock is good for California. Making the trains run on time or in this case, the budget pass on time isn't the most important consideration. We need to cut spending and reduce our tax burden and the passage of Proposition 56 would allow the Democrats to increase spending and raise taxes to the sky is the limit. Just vote NO on the "Blank Check" Initiative.
