January is the month when the other shoe drops. The news that the Bush administration just got itself a special prosecutor -- a man described as "Eliot Ness with a Harvard law degree and a sense of humor" -- to investigate the Valerie Plame leak is just another cause for people in power to sing "O Crappy Day!" as the new year rolls around. Bad things happen to good people (and some bad people) in January. It was in January (only yesterday, it seems) that Linda Tripp crawled out of the woodwork to torment Bill Clinton....

Tina is an idiot. We only have a special counsel now, because Bush knows who leaked, and it aint a Republican.

The Bushies don't just have the CIA investigation to worry about. How can I respect a writer that uses that term?

Wasn't Valerie Plame's photo in a magazine?
So much for trying to hide your identity.

Tina Brown outta know about
those long silent minutes going up on the chairlift in Aspen to engender reflections on laziness.
Strange that she makes no mention of Howie Dean's misstatements catching up with him. Oh wait, we don't want that to happen until after he gets the nomination...

I cannot belive that the Washington Post, liberal as it is, pays this woman to write commentary.
She is a poisonous snake, a die-hard Clinton-supporter, and dumb as a box of rocks.

So. Bill Clinton did it. He had to live with the morals of the time.
Let it all hang out. Every thing goes. It is my business, blah, blah, blah

It was in January 1993 that Bill Clinton crawled out of the woodwork to torment the Constitution, and pave the ground for the murder of 3000 people in NYC because he neglected his duty and had sex with a teenager.

My query is he going to still prosecute Georgie the baby burner Ryan.
Or because he has real big game now, is he going to ignore that, I smell the hand of Kennedy and Daley in this.

After reading my fellow Freepers' comments, I am quite glad not to have wasted my time clicking for the Washington Post.

Well, well, well! Tina Brown needs a little education. Bill Clinton crawled out of his slimy past and fooled enough people, including Tina Brown, to get himself elected to the highest, and until then, the most noble office in the land.
Linda Tripp worked in that environment, and I'll bet she picked up every paper clip, and blotted every coffee spill in her view, because she revered the place, it's history, it's former occupants. She didn't crawl out of anything. She just behaved as any other American before her would have done. She was shocked to see the total disregard shown to the highest office in the land by the lowest classed person ever to hold it.

I cannot belive that the Washington Post, liberal as it is, pays this woman to write commentary. From what I've read, most employees at the Washington Post can't believe it either. She's got a column there because the executives at the highest levels of the newspaper (you know, the ones that liberals say are all conservative and who intentionally order the news to be slanted pro-Republican) have ordered the editors to give her space. If the editors had their way, she'd be fired tomorrow morning.

Wasn't Valerie Plame's photo in a magazine?Yes. In the very magazine that used to be run by Tina Brown.
All these people run in the same circles and most share the same ideology (leftist) and agenda (get Bush).

Hey. Guess what? I told a friend about all of this and they said, "Who's Plame". A whole lot of people out there are not interested.

Good response. I remember Kevin Spacey commenting that he wanted her to go to hell. Linda Tripp was a career employee who served this country well. She is not the one who raped Juanita Broaddrick. She is not the one who assaulted Kathleen Willey in the White House and whose thugs threatened her children. She is not the one who stained the Great Seal. She is not the one who tried to fix a federal sexual harassment trial and deny a woman her day in court. She is not the one who ignored Islamic terror.

I didn't think it was possible, but the ComPost sunk even further when they hired this dimwit Tina Brown (major Clinton suck-up, no pun intended!).
