PG&E's top brass may be laughing all the way to the bank with more than $83 million in bonus money. But state regulators are gearing up to investigate the matter, and legislation is in the works aimed at discouraging such generous payouts from happening again.

The democrats have no problem with graft and bribes in their ranks. But a public company and its employees have no right to a profit according to their socialist views!

some democrats subscibe to the huey long philosophy that there should be a certain point which has a 100% tax on income. (no one should earn more than X dollars.)

If company is in bankruptcy and unable to pay its legitimate bills and at the same time the people running the company are giving themselves millions of dollars without fully revealing that fact to the bankruptcy court, then I'd say there is something illegitimate going on. If the company were making a real profit they would not have been bankrupt.

Don't these execs know it's immoral to make a dime more than their housekeeper.

The stock of PGE is doing pretty well since the crunch and I hope it does better with help from Arnold...
