I would think that with a date of 25 AD, it would be most likely. I don't remember the dates exactly, but Roman coins have been found in the Kanchanburi area (Dvaravati / early Khmer). The historical linkage between Yunnan, Sichuan, Nan Chao Thai and the Lanna Thai is well established for the later period (800 - 1300 AD). Now some linguists believe the Thai are indigenous to the North and Northeast of current Thailand. If true, the link would considerably pre-date the Han.
