CLARK URGES SUPPORTERS to defend Clark (TROLL) on FREE REPUBLIC (Untitled email -- this is my title)

Matt Bennett is the Director of Communications at Clark for President. General Clark asked him to pass on this message to the online community and supporters.

General Clark is outraged! The New York Times and pundits on CNN have utterly distorted the facts about his statements regarding Iraq and al Qaeda.

Here are the facts: Wes Clark has always said that there was some link between al Qaeda and Saddam's intelligence agents. But he has also always maintained that there is NO evidence that Iraq was in any way responsible for 9/11 or for training or equipping al Qaeda operatives. He said that in 2002, and he is saying that today.

The New York Times and CNN have been hoodwinked by our opponents. They're just wrong about this.

Make your voice heard - take this information to other blogs (Democratic Underground, Daily Kos, Free Republic, etc.), to your friends and family, to other news media. Make sure that the FACTS can catch up with the distortion. They may buy their ink by the barrel, but you can help us fight back.

"Battle of wits," huh? More like dueling with an unarmed man. Remember, these guys come to the contest without any encumberances; such as truth, an analytical mind or a clear understanding of the Constitution. I know. You just want to beat up on a poor dem......why not?

Think this latest piece from RNC is a perfect addition to this thread:

CARELESS CLARK

Unprepared, Unprincipled Or Both?

_______________________________________________________________

CLARK SAYS CLINTON GAVE BUSH ADMINISTRATION
WAR PLAN TO DISMANTLE AL QAEDA?

January 12, 2004: “After the bombings at American embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, and the attack on the USS Cole . . . the Clinton team spent months devising a detailed special operations plan to dismantle Al Qaeda that was in place in 2000. ‘They built a plan and turned it over to the Bush administration,’ said Clark, who said the plan was ignored. ‘This administration failed to do its duty to protect the United States of America before 9/11.’” (Raja Mishra and Joanna Weiss, “Iraq Was Distraction, Clark Says,” The Boston Globe, 1/13/04)

CLINTON NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR
SANDY BERGER SAYS CLARK IS INCORRECT

September 19, 2002: “[T]here was no war plan [to fight terrorism and Al Qaida] that we turned over to the Bush administration during the transition. And the reports of that are just incorrect.” (Samuel R. Berger, U.S. House Of Representatives And U.S. Senate, Select Committees On Intelligence, Joint Hearing, 9/19/02

HUH? That terrorist training camp in NE Iraq should have been a big clue. And what about that pass. airplane fuselage that was near Bagdad(?). I guess that was for amusement purposes. Why did he knock off that al qaeda bigwig . The one that had an accident cleaning his gun and shot himself fifteen times.

"During the transition", sure, ok. But later? I think the "RNC" is missing the subtleties in an effort to get Clark.

Democrats in New Hampshire nervous that frontrunner Howard Dean is too gaffe-prone and harshly anti-Bush are beginning to turn to ... Gen. Wesley Clark?

Anyone who listens to what Clark says on the stump every day can only consider his surge — fueled partly by doubts about the seemingly out-of-control Dean — with incredulity. Clark isn't much of a substantive or tonal alternative to the former Vermont governor. He's just Dean with medals. If anything, Clark is more outrageous than the front-runner, routinely questioning President Bush's patriotism.

Trouble is that Clark's version of the truth has no bearing on reality!

Poor guy is running out of excuses for his previous statements.

LOL!!! So the Deanies picked up on this too. I couldn't resist posting when Clark actually wanted his people to come on FR to defend him. This is one of the funniest things I have seen come out of a campaign yet. Obviously the Clark campaign people haven't been reading the Anti-Clark comments here on FR or if they have and figure their people can get the best of Freepers, they are dumber then I thought which is really dumb.

Next Hillary will be sending her people here to defend her since she already got some votes on FR.
