Just heard on WCBS newsradio NY that CNN reports Carlie Brucia found dead in Sarasota.

CNN is reporting the same thing. She was found near a church off I-75 in the Sarasota area sometime during the night. Her parents have been notified.
The news conference, which was to be held at 9 a.m. EST, has been moved up to 7 a.m.

Amen. My heart is broken.
I still don't see anything on CNN's web site, but with each passing hour, it was looking very bad for her. What a horror, even more since so many millions of us saw what were probably her last moments.
My 16 year old asked if FL has the death penalty. If this Smith person is the perp, I hope justice is swift. If not, I pray this the killer is caught and permantly stopped quickly.
How horrible for her family and all of us.

I wonder if the church is also off Bee Ridge Road. Carlie was abducted at a carwash on Bee Ridge...and found at a church near I-75. My father attends one on the North Side of I-75 off Bee Ridge.
