Roanoke County Republican Party resolution for NO TAX HIKE

Posted on 02/10/2004 8:04:54 AM PST by Gopher Broke

Just got a copy of this Resolution...just passed by the Roanoke County Republican Committee....I urge all Republican, VA Freepers to press their local Republican Committees to pass a similar resolution and send it to all Republican Delegates and Senators in VA ASAP....

Roanoke County Republican Party February 9, 2004

Dear Senators and House Delegates:

Please be advised that the Roanoke County Republican Committee on February 3, 2003, unanimously passed the following resolution:

Whereas the Virginia Republican Party Creed states “That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government”

Whereas several Virginia Republican Delegates and Senators are supporting the increase of taxes on Virginians, against their will,

Be it resolved by the Roanoke County Republican Party, meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, that we strongly ask all Virginia Delegates and senators to NOT raise our taxes but CUT SPENDING instead.

Thank you for considering our wishes. Very truly yours,

Roanoke County Republican Committee

Too bad Majority Leader Chichester wants to be a RINO instead. . . maybe the voters need to make him an EX-RINO

The Loudoun County Republican Committee also passed a low-tax resolution at it's Feb 9 meeting.
