I hate to say it, but CNN International, while much more biased than domestic CNN, is still many times better than BBC World. They are our only choices under UBC (Shin) sattelite (Thailand).

BBC isn't doing too well recently, either. And I know Murdoch has been trying to move into China. Perhaps you'll be seeing Sky News in Thailand one of these days.

As far as English news is concerned, I get CNN International and BBC in the Netherlands. Both real bad. The Dutch TV is not any better in my opinion. If it were not for FR I'd go nuts.

I used to live in Bangkok, many years ago. As an American I was well received. How is it today?

Apart from the bias, I find CNN International awfully boring. I don't exactly know what it is. It seems they have too many who-cares stories like eco-planning in the Congo or Nepal spiritual retreats. It's painful to watch.
