I assume, and dearly hope, that this will not be the end of the matter for FR. This issue needs to be kept alive as it clearly demonstrates that for the Dems Power and Politics comes before the People every time!

Since so many Dems supported the publication of the Pentagon Papers and ignored how they were obtained, one would think they would support a full public airing of these memoranda....NOT

I hate to even imagine it . . .
but occasionally, the through races through one's head. . .
if they keep this idiocy up, perhaps Bin Laden and his nukes would do us a big favor to relieve us of D.C.
Sheesh.
Traitorous idiots.

Looks like the GOP is
running for the Tall Grass...
"running like scalded dogs, from this fight". IS the GOP is in the Majority, or NOT?. Why can't the GOP stand-up to these 'RATS. To HELL with the "go-along, to-get-along" Trent Lott mindset. :(

I have been asking myself for years why, seemingly, Republicans in office almost never defend themselves? Why? Why? Why, do do Demonrats always take thier pot shots, or get caught red-handed, or play thier dirty tricks, and "we" always sit back.
Is it because we won't stoop to their level? Are we better off for this? We are in the majority. ??????

An unfortunate response, but by no means a surprising one...
From IntelMemo.com (letters section):
-----
I'm glad there is some outside organization attacking this problem because it doesn't seem like the Senate Republicans are doing anything about it. (I have not received any response to my letters to my Senators from Texas). Zell Miller, a Democrat, has expressed more outrage than any Republican.
Regardless of who wrote the memo, as ranking Democrat, Jay Rockefeller should resign his Senate Seat. Other Democrat members on the SSCI should be removed from this sensitive committee since they demonstrated they are incapable of handling sensitive material.
-- Al S.
We agree that this goes far beyond "politics as usual."
Unfortunately the Senate's long-standing assumption is that all members are persons of vast honor and esteem, regardless of their actual behavior. Some members appear to think that all transgressions by Senators can be safely ignored. In this case, their inaction risks the lives of our soldiers, intelligence agents, and citizens.
