Sorry, that experiment has already been tried. It was a disaster.

As is Mr. Morford. He has to find some way to make himself feel good about what he knows is wrong. Once you get over being irritated with him, it's hard not to pity him.

Whenever I read one of his editorials, I ALWAYS come away with more pity than disgust for him.

If he was really, reaaly secure in his philosophy of life, there would be no need for him to rant and rave like he does on an almost daily basis. I'd like to believe that it's that Holy Spirit he despises so much pricking his conscience and causing an internal war within himself.

Me thinks he doth protest to much, and I for one hope that his sick foolish ranting is an unrecognized (by him) fight against the ultimate Truth he also knows.

I don't wish him Hell, but he seems "hellbound" to get there on his on steam.
