Fox News reported that Rep. Bonilla is not going to continue to call for Brown's resignation. Gee. Just like a Republican. Do you think the Democrats would have backed off if a Republican had made these comments? I don't think so.

"If a Republican had made such derogatory, insulting and discriminatory remarks there would be a firestorm of outrage. The current silence is deafening," Bonilla, R-Texas, said.

There's a double standard? Who knew?

Next somebody'll try and tell me that John Kerry was in Vietnam! ;)

Sadly, it's a fact of our civic life that, for now at least, we have to deal with.

Sigh....nothing to see here, move along.

I am just left shaking my head at the double standard.

Whatever. Dems didn't stop till packwood was chased from the Senate for trying to date women. Then they defended Clinton. Republicans should demand this woman's resignation, but then Maxine Waters and a host of others should never be accepted into polite company for protecting cop killers, praising Castro, etc.

"Dems didn't stop till packwood was chased from the Senate for trying to date women. Then they defended Clinton."

If Packwood had tried to date men and had seduced the page boys, the democrats and main stream media would have made him their hero.

clinton raped women, he did not date them.
lewinsky and strisstand being the exceptions. One would have to strecth the imagination to call either women. Female is about the best one can describe them in polite company.

Brown, D-Fla., issued an apology on Thursday for remarks she made a day earlier when she said Hispanics and whites "all look alike to me."

You mean, this ugly biatch apologized for being STUPID?

Nah, didn't think so.

Bonilla ought to let it go. He is starting to sound as silly as the Leftwing Democrats. If he has never encountered a racial or ethnic wisecrack, before, he must have led a very sheltered life. If he had any sense, he would face the real issue, here: What Clinton did to Haiti, when he ran off General Cedras, the West Point graduate who rescued Haiti from Aristide the first time, at gun point, to reinstall the Communist.

This mess is one of the reasons Clinton should have been impeached. You don't overthrow a friendly Government to turn a people back over to Communists, unless you have a different agenda than most Americans. (See President Clinton & The Abuse Of Power.)

Clinton, from his first days in office, misused his position as Commander In Chief. That is serious. The Congresswoman's ethnic wisecrack is not.

You know... back in the 2000 election, remember how the fourth county that Gore wanted checked in Florida was Duval (Jacksonville)? This was because of a number of overvotes on the Presidential Ballot...

I heard later they determined a reason... I may have even heard it here on FR, it's been so long ago... Anyway, Rep. Brown's people went out into the district and told the voters to "Go vote for Gore and Brown," so they did... they punched Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. (D) for president and then punched Harry Browne (L) for president.

Sometimes I wonder if getting rid of the literacy test for voters was a good idea (only half kidding).
