In case the link goes away, here is the first few lines of the article.

RAMALLAH, West Bank Palestinian aid groups have refused to accept money from the U.S. government because of a requirement they sign a pledge the money would not be used for terrorism, organizers said Monday.
The US Agency for International Development has given Palestinian groups $1.3 billion in the past decade and is a key source of funding for the cash strapped organizations.
But USAID enacted the anti-terrorism pledge requirement at the end of 2002 for new grants given worldwide.

Gnite, sweet dreams...

How can one be an extremist and one a moderate if they both want to kill each other? To me they are both extremists.

These are rebuilding grants. How is this funding Arafat? The only way to receive the next money payment is by showing the grant is actual used as stated.

How is the recruiting going to cease if we leave terrorist in power? Then entire cycle has to be stopped.

Today at my local university I encountered a whole display complaining about the wall that Israel is building. These ninnies actually left a long cloth on the ground with markers so that people could "express themselves" on an "expression path". (I shouldn't be stunned by the pointless navel gazing and emoting that the left does, but sometimes it takes me by surprise.)

I was gratified to see that I was not the only one to write comments supporting Israel. Roughly one third supported the wall and one third were comments about peace and love for everyone. The libs were particularly annoyed with the comment "Good fences make good neighbors".

Rebuilding grants?! We have been giving Arafat money for years and he has not built it in the first place. Don't you have to build to rebuild?

Did you know the water systems in the Areas Arafat claims were all built by the Israeli's? The same is true of most of the schools, hospitals, fire prevention and control systems, the phone systems, the streets, roads and power plants too.

Yep, the only building Arafat does is Army's, and that is his rebuilding project.

Now if the Palestinians will turn their backs on receiving Aid because they have to sign papers saying they will not use it for terrorism, there is not even a hint that they are interested in actually using it to feed people.

Every single treaty that they have signed they have broken, every promise, (including the one about killing all the Jews), they have not kept. And you want to send them more tax money so they can take over more of the Middle East. You are Crazy, or incredibly gullible, or just another cog in the evil machine.

Yet you can type and reason so you are not crazy, and you seem to be intelligent. That leaves evil. Evil is a choice where you choose to not be good. If you want to hang will murderers and help them kill you are evil.

Fine, your choice, but don't complain to me when you reap the benefits of your actions in life and the hereafter.

"Something stinks in Washington."

That goes without saying, pod'nah. Just have to keep agitating from within. Something is going to break sooner or later.

I do not understand what you are trying to say here. Arafat is just another cog, when he finally dies, assisted or otherwise another Islamic terrorist will step into place. I expect it to get worse for two reasons.

First, Arafat is incompetent. The guy is butt-ugly both in personality and in actions. He is a homosexual pedophile, that likes to torture people, a dictator that is starving his peons while living high on the hog on American Tax Aid, and he publicly commits genocide and Apartheid, while frothing at the mouth with Racism. And the world loves him. Pick one random mass murderer off the street that at least washes his clothes once a month and has the personal class to keep his bigotry hidden and it will be a powerful upgrade to the Palestinian Cause of Genocide.

Secondly the Bible says that this will happen, that the Palestinians will rejoice over being freed from under Arafat's systematic repression. Who by the way they hate with a passion, I have had many tell me that to my face.

However their new leader will also be a snake, and he will put in power someone much more horrible than Arafat. Shortly after that the Palestinians will be utterly wiped out, only the poorest and most oppressed among them will God preserve. That by the way is the Christian population.

Since you like references so well have some Bible:

Isaiah 14:29-31
29 "Do not rejoice, all you of Philistia, Because the rod that struck you is broken; For out of the serpent's roots will come forth a viper, And its offspring will be a fiery flying serpent.
30 The firstborn of the poor will feed, And the needy will lie down in safety; I will kill your roots with famine, And it will slay your remnant.
31 Wail, O gate! Cry, O city! All you of Philistia are dissolved; For smoke will come from the north, And no one will be alone in his appointed times."

God even puts in a cute message to the UN here telling them that Israel Belongs to the Jews because HE said so.
32 What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lord has founded Zion, And the poor of His people shall take refuge in it.

HAR HAR Har,,, read it and weep Coffee Cup Anan. -grin-
