[history]
Spot, an English springer spaniel with a White House pedigree who spent nearly 15 years with President Bush and his family, has died, the White House announced Saturday.
An administration official told CNN that Spot was put to sleep Saturday around 1:30 p.m. after suffering a series of strokes. Her remains will be taken to the president's ranch in Crawford, Texas.

yes, I was wondering why this article was being posted today. While I was saddened to hear about that precious family pets loss...I'm wondering if I missed something? Glad to know Spot will return to Crawford, TX to spend his eternity on the Ranch. See ya Spot...you were sweet.

Well, I am saddened for Spot and the family; but unlike Buddy, we know that Spot had a great life and was loved. . .and was taken care of.

(sorry presidio9, we were all sorry about Spot, but can't pass up a couple of giggles)

So, tell us about Spot, did he have any literary credits like his mother, Millie? Millie, as you recall, wrote a book. It was in the stores the same time George Bush Sr. had a book out. Millie's book sold much better than her master's did.
