WASHINGTON D.C. -- Many Arab Americans who voted for George W. Bush in 2000 prefer Sen. John Kerry this year, a new poll suggests.
But even if large numbers of Arab Americans switch party allegiance, could they be the difference in battleground states, including Michigan?

If ever anyone needed a reason to re-elect the president, this headline should do it.

I cannot believe that our President Bush is losing peace loving Arab votes.

Ok, so we have CAIR rooting for Kerry, Arab Americans rooting for Kerry, and now Kim Jong Il of North Korea rooting for Kerry. I guess we just need a sound bite from Arafat and Castro and Kerry will have it locked up.

I'm looking forward to the Osama endorsement. That'll ice the cake.

They hate the West. Why are they here.

And what a shame that is! The Arab-American voters are going to vote for Kerry. And why not? Traitors voting for a traitor. Who exactly would be surprised by that? From what I read, the North Koreans would like to be able to vote for Kerry also.

James Zogby, president of the nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington, D.C.-based institute
Yeh, org is about as nonpartisan as Mrs. Kerry's Peaceful Tomorrows.

This could be a golden opportunity for Bush to speak aggressively and assertively to Muslims worldwide, and tell them that the WOT is a window of opportunity for them to rescue their future from the forces of nihilism.
It would make him look like the strong, decisive leader that he is. He has nothing to lose, because he will lose the nihilist vote anyway.
He must not appear to be weak or the sharks on the left will circle in for the kill.

This should be telling GWB something....
Pander to the illegal immigration/cheap labor special interests. The result is that they still don't like him and he only alienates his base.
Pander to the Islamists - "Religion of peace", "the Saudis are our friends", etc - and they still don't like him.
Wise up, President Bush. To thine own self, and to thy core supporters, be true.

So Bush doesn't have the terrorist vote. This is awful! My heart is broken. This party has to be a big tent and reach out to everyone, even--especially!--people of Arab heritage who are so misunderstood in their cultural values and life goals, that they have to express themselves in violent ways we don't perhaps entirely understand or embrace. But we need to do more for them. We need to understand, to reach out, to really listen. Let's try to really communicate with them and hear what they're trying to tell us when they blow up busloads of children.
I hope I don't have to put the sarcasm tag on, do I? I don't give a flying whatever about the Arab vote--far as I'm concerned if we lose the Arab vote we're on the right track.

'twas glad to see Kerry picked up the North Korean vote last week.

Awww, pity, even after all those Ramadan celebrations at the "People's House", too?
To: TomGuy
Yeah...James Zogby, the man who is running around TV and radio calling Bush's new campaign ads racists towards Arabs. Sounds non-partisan too me.
