MILWAUKEE COUNTERDEMONSTRATION INFORMATION - COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!
The Democrats will be meeting at noon at Wisconsin and Prospect (the orange girder sculpture). Our plan is to meet at Cathedral Square (location is well known and easy parking) and then march to the Peace and Justice Rally about 6 blocks away.
I have not contacted the media, since we're unsure of the crowd size and don't plan on any guest speakers. Anyone who owns a megaphone is encouraged to bring it and everyone will be allowed to address the crowd, if so desired.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome. My flyer will be mass e-mailed tomorrow after interested FReepers give me their input.
Thanks and hope to see as many there as possible.
If anyone has any suggestions that may be more strategically feasible/successful...bring 'em on!

Ya, let's see just how peaceful they'll be when they meet up with opposition... someone should carry a sign saying, "You're a hypocrite if you utter anything but peaceful words".
To: republicandiva
What time are you planning to start the march itself?

I have a few signs from last time that will still be appropos. If Daughter #2 has time she will be doing some printing on a few new ones- no promises.
I have a GREAT t-shirt from www.thoseshirts.com that I will be wearing- Bush applying the "W" brand to a very reluctant donkey. Looking forward to the Spring, Summer & Fall Freep Tour 2004! It is vital that the voice of reason is heard. I can think of nothing more important than supporting those very men & women who are fighting day in and day out for our freedom. Will be there and plan on inviting some like minded friends!

I'll come up with something for Saturday. I'm leaning toward listing the foreign leaders for John F'em Ke(rr)y since he won't - Kim Jong Il, Mullah Mohammed Omar, Ayatollah Khamenhi, Saddam Hussein, Yasser Arafat, Gerhard Schroeder, Jacques Chirac, and the beneficiary of the latest al-Qaida attack, Jose Zapatero.

Don't forget to waterproof those signs; the forecast is calling for rain or snow, and temps around 40 (typical FReeping weather :-P - maybe we'll outdraw the Loony Left again :-)
