...another skier interrupted his stride, colliding with the presumptive Democratic nominee at 9,010 feet.

Sounds a little vague, with the implication that the "skier" was just some guy, and not a Secret Service agent. But it doesn't actually SAY that.

The slope-cade of two Ski Patrollers, several Secret Service agents, two journalists, one camera and one Kerry aide suddenly came to a halt.

I'm not buying it. How would the Secret Service let another skier get anywhere near enough to Kerry to knock him over? This looks like a very carefully worded spin job on ABC's part.

It is a little vague, but back when I used to ski, people who crashed because their "stride" was "interrupted" were called out of control. Either that, or just plain pricks. The down hill skier has the right of way.
