March 21, 2004 -- Talk about strange bedfellows - a mild-mannered, 67-year-old Brooklyn congressman has written a rap play that explores male sexuality and monogamy. Modeled on the off-Broadway hit "The Vagina Monologues," Rep. Major Owens has named his bawdy opera "The Viagra Monologues."

Do you know how old this guy is? My brother was friends with his son, I think. But time goes by so fast, maybe it was the congressman, he looks a little too old in the picture, but I'm not sure. My brother would have been about 45 now. They went to elementary school in Manhattan together, but, I'll say this, it was a public school.

Thanks, then it must have been his son who was my brother's friend. I wonder if it was the guy on the Cosby show, but my brother never mentioned that. They were pretty close friends, but I think they had some falling out, you know how badly that can go.

Obviously, "Major" was named for his ego, not his member.

Place your bets on who'll take offense! Rita Haley, president of the New York City chapter of the National Organization for Women, said the promiscuity aspect of the play doesn't bother her as much as the title.
"This guy has the right to have any kind of a play that he wants. What I do find offensive is that he is playing off the name of the 'Vagina Monologues,' which has a lot to do with women's freedom and sexuality, but also has a lot to do with sexual abuse, which really isn't that funny. So the play on the name is not very funny at all, and in fact is offensive."
DINGDINGDING! WE HAVE A WINNER!

Owen's son, Geoffrey, appeared for years on "The Cosby Show" playing the comedian's son-in-law, Elvin. Was Elvin the one who named his twin children Nelson and Winnie? That's held up really well over time, particularly with Nelson divorcing Winnie as soon as he got out of prison!

Modeled on the off-Broadway hit "The Vagina Monologues," Rep. Major Owens has named his bawdy opera "The Viagra Monologues." Owens uses the "Pfizer Riser" as a jumping-off point for a frank and full examination of the male approach to sexual matters.
"Boyhood self-esteem dies/Gawking at the other guy's size/What deal with the angels/Awarded him a better tubular prize," reads one stanza.
Once again, the NY delegation does us proud!

Ahh yes. I see the grievance industry has no sense of humor. They've patented and trademarked their little hurts.

He is SUCH a pig, yet I'm *sure* he markets himself as a Champion of Women's Rights and all that other bullcrap.
To: NYC GOP Chick
I still remember the 200 million slaves feeding the sharks on the Atlantic routine he was so famous for doing.
Chumming the waters. Kinda like a Demo fundraiser.

From Rush's Website:
(On the floor of the House, Owens) claimed that 200 million slaves were thrown overboard from slave ships. Quote: "So great was the number of people who were thrown overboard that it altered the ecology of the ocean. The sharks even now trace -- or follow after ships along the trail, seeking the flesh that was thrown overboard in all those years, 200 years of the slave trade."
