Idiots all!! It is not the oil companies, there has not been a refinery built in the US since 1979, (in Garyville, LA by Marathon Oil Co., whom I am retired from) and it is next to impossible to even consider getting another one permitted. (Not near me you all yell)

The feds, states, cities and the enviro nazis currently demand dozens & dozens of different blends customized to suit every whim. There is not the refining capacity nor the pipelines to satisfy all these nutcase scenarios.

Refineries can only produce gasoline or fuel oil, but do not have the capacity to do both. The enviros have decimated the US oil industry, it fell apart in the late 80's. No new exploration or drilling is allowed, every attempt is thwarted by the ones who now scream the loudest.

The percentage of imported refined products continues to rise, just wait until we depend on OPEC for your gasoline & fuel oil. You think we have problems now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The public demands no nuke power generation, they demand the coal fired plants be shut down, they demand that all power generation be from clean burning fuels (read natural gas) then the same freakos scream when the power generators use up the natural gas in competition with home owners for their heat. Guess what, there is X amount of NG, not XY & G amounts, there is not enough for both.

So make up your stupid minds what you want before running off on some Chicken Little fiasco crapola about punishing the oil companies, for you don't have a bloody clue as to the facts.
