This is absurd. The reason they did this is because Clinton ran away. We have to teach them a lesson. Running away like a dog with it's tail tugged between it's legs is not going to solve this. They have to be taught a hard lesson. Yet it has to be precise and can not be done in blind rage. You do not want to enrage the population that support us.

If they want a new govenment, let them create one themselves. They will always resent our presence. To them, we are an occupying force. We are the visible enemy. As long as we are there, we always will be that.

The only other option, besides leaving, that I can see is to increase the level of violence to a degree which we will not do. Given that we won't do that, I think we should get out.

We won't be turning Iraq into a democratic country. Not during our lifetimes.

You don't get it, do you? The reason they did this is, because Clinton pulled the troops out of Somalia after the Mogadishu disaster. They were counting on the same thing to happen.

BTW did you vote for Clinton in 92 and 96, and for Gore in 2000? You sure sound like it. Or by any chance are you French by any chance?
