Don't know. I would not bet suprised at all if the Muslims weren't in the Americas, early. Looks like just about everyone else was.
I saw an interesting article the other day claiming Hindus were in South America also. That wouldn't suprise me either.
There's a Roman era ship wreck off the coast of Brazil. Roman amphora hsa been recovered from the wreck.
