Daschle selected her.

There is NO WAY ON EARTH that she should have been allowed on that committee. She was involved in terrorism/defense issues for 4 years during the Clinton Administration. She was a HUGE player in making terrorism policy. I found a speech where she testified before Congress, lobbying for the Clinton Administrations terrorism policy.

Daschle knew this. He appointed her to make sure the blame was NOT shifted to the Clintons.

This is just fascinating...and it fits so pefectly with the Democrats running out to blame Rush and right wing republicans for OKC. And who better to direct the troops than the inoculated one sitting on the 9/11 Commission.

So this is the reason Gorelick is on that Commission. RATS are desperate to keep the truth about OKC, WTC1 and TWA800 from getting out. No legitimate investigation of 9/11 can avoid these connections and Gorelick's role is to prevent them from being exposed. That has already started to a limited extent. But once the dike is breached all hell is going to break loose.

They do make some leaps.

Yes, Gorlick probably was involved in OKC.

We do not know more than that....she needs to be asked, but undue speculation HURTS the search for truth.

Late in the 1996 campaign, he would confide to reporters that his road back to the White House began in Oklahoma City."

Well...I'll tell you what. If Ben Viniste can ask Ashroft about his reasons for chatering private airflights, Republicans should start asking about these inconsistencies. There are still so many unanswered questions about OKC and TWA 800...and if Gorelick was in charge of the investigations, she needs to be questioned since her incompetence is showing. Liberals like to engage in conspiracy theories...let them engage in this one.

The document [from Yousef's computer] specifically cited the charter service of a commercial type aircraft loaded with powerful bombs to be dive-crashed by SAEED AKMAN. This is apparently intended to demonstrate to the whole world that a Muslim martyr is ready and determined to die for the glorification of Islam.

Richard Clarke was well aware of these plans. In response to a question by Democrat Richard Ben-Veniste at a 9-11 hearing, Clarke admitted that the "knowledge about al-Qaida having thought of using aircraft as weapons" was relatively old – "five years, six years old." He asked that intelligence analysts "be forgiven for not thinking about it given the fact that they hadn't seen a lot in the five or six years intervening about it." He admittedly did not share these plans with the Bush administration.

The reason Islamic terrorist links were ignored has more to do with politics than with security. Once arrested, McVeigh and Nichols served as poster boys for the natural progression of the "Republican revolution." If, however, they proved to be mere "lily whites" – i.e., stooges recruited by Islamic terrorists to take the fall – they would lose their political value.

In the post-"Republican Takeover" era Clinton had Gorelick suppress the Islamic terrorist connection to OKC, TWA800, and Atlanta Olympic bomb plots so he could get reelected.

And even after Bush requested the famous August PDB (which the Coverup Commission demanded and got declassified), Richard Clarke forgot to mention to Bush that Arabs had bruited the idea of kamakazee attacks a few years before.

You too? Well, I was watching/listening to all our local OKC stations, and I assure you, they had APBs out on 2-3 olive skinned, possibly Arabic males in a brown truck. By the next day, the story had changed. Mind you, we were getting raw, unedited footage for the first day or so--once the editing started, it almost seemed like a different bombing altogether.

Many here on FR wanted to hand out tinfoil hats to those of us saying that, btw. I'm glad some of the truth is finally coming out. Clinton wanted to blame the "angry white men" for political gain--that should surprise no one.

You know that’s probably why she’s always wearing that $hit-eating grin.
She’s in it up to her eyeballs so she’s “installed” on the safe side of the bench so she doesn’t have to testify. (for now)

Gorelick should be asked to leave the government completely.

Calling all Democrat Family's of Victims of WTC. Calling all Democrat Apologists of Clinton and Haters of Bush.

If your passion is righteous and about justice; if your fervor for nailing the ONE person who led us to this position in history is sincere, then turn your focus to the person responsible for the machinations of Jamie Gorelick. Look into your collective souls and see if you can bring yourself to turn your focus to the ONE person whose character is facetious enough to sacrifice the United States' security and blood of its citizens, for the sake of a political career, by emplacing a puppet like Ms. Gorelick to squelch politically incorrect investigations.

Connect the dots from "I never had sex with that woman...", to responsibility for the Oklahoma City bombing lies at the doorstep of "purveyors of hate and division."

I have a suggestion that might not be as meaningful as having Gorelick resign, but may offer some satisfaction. I have been thinking about e-mailing O'Reilly with the suggestion that he run a weeklong alternative 9/11 commission, interviewing all the people who were refused the priviledge of testifying publicly before the 9/11 commission. O'Reilly's ego should be big enough to take on this challenge and it might really be worthwhile.
