Gay men and women in Bend won't enjoy the same protections against discrimination that other minorities have in this city for at least the time being under a plan endorsed by the Bend City Council on Wednesday night.

Hopefully within the next few weeks these politicians will learn that they will lose their jobs if they vote FOR the ordinance. A business has every right to fire someone if they engage in homosexual behavior, just as they have a right to fire somebody if they engage in adultry if the boss doesn't like adultry.
