Have you ever spent time on a kibbutz? I spent about six months back in 1977. I wish I had been a bit older to really appreciate this truly great experience.

Yeah, I spent time on a kibbutz when I was in elementary school, during the summer, staying at a kibbutz for a month or so each period. We didn't really work there, but we used it as a base for traveling around. We ate in the big dining room with everyone, etc.
