Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Lab guard post near classified facilities in what United States officials think was ian intelligence mission, the Washington Times has learned.
The diplomats, identified as Hua Yu and Bo Lai, were on an intelligence mission that is raising new worries of Chinese nuclear spying against the United States, according to US officials familiar with the incident.
Pajarito Road is the site of two sensitive facilities. One is the Critical Assembly Facility known as Technical Area 18, the other is the Plutonium Reasearch facility, known as Technical Area 55.
Both facilites are used for classified nuclear weapons activities.
A spokesman for Los Alamos declined to comment on whether the FBI was notified. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.

To heck with diplomatic niceities. They should have been shot on sight. China would have wailed like 3 year olds that were told they couldn't have ice cream and cookies for dinner but ultimately would have done nothing.
BTW, I'll be in Tokyo for my first time in two weeks (on business). Any tips for an enthusiastic Canuck you can think of? :-)

Why would they have to do that? They were given satelite technology with permission of Clinton, couldn't they just look from space?

There's no excuse for anyone to rush past guards in a secure area like that -and live.
I was wondering about that as well, Should have been a lot of lead flying.

Now, now, they were just out to pick up what Dr. Lee had stashed for them months ago; no new espionage, just a finishing touch on previous mischeif. Nothing to see here. Move along.

There's no excuse for anyone to rush past guards in a secure area like that -and live.It is not a "secure area" in the strict sense of the word. It is (was until last fall) a public highway. There was a sign saying to turn that way to the museum; I don't know if the sign has been taken down. It took the locals some time to realize that the highway had been closed.

Thanks, Quix. Can't believe it took 43 posts for Richardson's name to come up. It was one of my first thoughts.
Just because Clinton is out of the WH doesn't mean that all of his work, and groundwork, has been retired.

Great reply, except I didn't say that. I did say #43 which is that they have satelites, why would they need to do that.
You wanted to post this to #44 who said what you posted. You missed by only one number... LOL
I'm not perfect either. Have a good day.

Thank God for that.
An improvement, at last, over the treasonous Bill José Richardzonez and Hazel O'Leary.

They were just returning the keys to the spot they found them, behind the photo copying machine.
Dry run alert. Testing our "new" security levels.
Travis I'm pretty sure I related my "incident" with a Junior officer who decided security alert rules didn't apply to him. Somebody better switch the guards back from decaffienated.

Richardson needs up on Treason charges like Billdo and Shrillery, imho.
Sadly, my Dad still thinks he's wonderful.
Sigh.
At least Dad sees more of Billdo's flaws than he used to.
