Memories of 2000 energize Dem organizers
By Ron Fournier, AP Political Writer
April 27, 2004

ST. LOUIS -- Armed with Palm Pilots and a $95 million budget, Democratic organizers hope to exploit voters' anger toward President Bush and the disputed outcome of the 2000 election to produce a record-breaking Nov. 2 turnout.

They're doing it the old-fashioned way -- knocking on doors and registering voters -- with information-age technology, such as the hand-held computers carried street-to-street by canvassers.

"There's going to be people crawling out of the woodwork to vote against Bush after what happened in 2000 and what he's done since," said Jean Jeffries, 59, of St. Louis. Six months before Election Day, Democratic organizers are already knocking on her door -- making sure she and her children are registered to vote.

"People are fired up," Jeffries said. "Anger is a powerful motivator."

They are taking the upcoming election serious. They almost elected a stiff like Gore doing this last time.

... "Anger is a powerful motivator" ...
The Democrats. The party of spite. An entire political party afflicted with Tourette's syndrome. Barking lunatics all foaming at the mouth.

Note to self: Have to work on an appropriate beam-this-up message to share with the Rats who knock on my door with Palm-Pilots...

Hatred is a stronger motivator. The liberals are mostly anti-christian. Hey, what's another religion?

A test case for deploying Palm Pilots, state Democrats dramatically increased absentee balloting in 2000

Six months before Election Day, Democratic organizers are already knocking on her door -- making sure she and her children are registered to vote.

Two questions.
How do Palm Pilots increase absentee voting?
At what age are children allowed to register to vote? (Democrats-any age. Republicans-18?)

I thought only Rats crawl out of the woodwork.

Wouldn't it be grand to keep these tiny pearls of wisdom for some later 'best of the removed' thread? Just a thought (since we don't really get the benefit to UNLOAD on these perps right away). A ZOT-minor, if you will...

Where did they get the $93M. Those canvassers with their Palm Pilots better equip them with pepper spray. The City of St. Louis is one of the most dangerous City's in the USA.

Also important to note that St. Louis is actually a conglomerate of many municipalities. The actual City of St. Louis is just a small part of the metropolitan areas SMS. City is very Democratic, while St. Louis County is very much Republican.

With this kind of concentration in the City, once the word gets out you are going to see the real rural red fly-over Missourians come out in droves to vote for GWB.

Also, most Missourians HAVE HAD IT WITH GOVERNOR HOLDEN, a Democrat that has lead the State down the wrong road from the day of his inauguration. We have two Republic Senators, Kit Bond and Jim Talent. Talent beat former Democratic Senator Jean Carnahan by a landslide last election.

Should be Very Interesting!

But .. the repubs registered ONE MILLION new voters in just one week.

And .. when Hillary shows up at the convention as the nominee .. stand back .. because if you want to see people (repubs) come out of the woodwork ........ that should do it!

Something I've always wondered - 50 million abortions. Would those souls have voted mostly conservative - or mostly leftist? I suppose it would depend on how they would've grown up. My guess - mostly leftist.

And who is it that has the rally in favor of killing 'em?

Not only that, think how much bigger and better the economy would be- that's 50 million fewer customers and consumers we have to drive economic activity.
