Arab Intifada Is European Proxy War On America

THE UNITED STATES SHOULD NOT TRY to play a "neutral arbiter" in the Israeli/Palestinian dispute. We should, in fact, be doing our best to make the Palestinians suffer until they change their ways, because, to put it bluntly, they are our enemies. Read this to see how they feel about America.

And read this piece by Amir Taheri on the Iraqi "resistance," which notes Palestinian terror connections by the Iraqi insurgents, and features a Palestinian "journalist" egging them on.

These folks are our enemies, and deserve to be treated as such. They don't deserve a state of their own. It's not clear that they even deserve to keep what they've got. (Why is Arafat still in power?) I don't think this means that the Bush Administration should be taking direct action against them -- closing off their funding via shutting down Saddam is a good start, and a policy of slow strangulation directed at Arafat and his fellow terrorists is probably the most politic at the moment. We need to try to squeeze off the EU funding, too, especially now that it's been admitted to be part of a PROXY WAR by the EU not just against Israel, but America.

But let's stop pretending that what's going on between Israel and the Palestinians is some sort of family misunderstanding. It's war, and the Palestinians -- and their EU supporters -- think it's a war not just against Israel, but against us. We should tailor our approach accordingly.

Arab Intifada Is European Proxy War On America

(INN) (12/23/03)

Ilka Schroeder, a 25 year old former German Green Party member, who is now a member of the EU Parliament, has delivered an important address at the Center for German Studies of Ben Gurion University in Israel. She characterized the Palestinian Intifada as a European proxy war on America.

"The Europeans supported the Palestinian Authority with the aim of becoming its main sponsor, and through this, challenge the U.S. and present themselves as the future global power. Therefore, the Al-Aksa Intifada should be understood as a proxy war between Europe and the United States."

Schroeder would seem to be following the path of David Horowitz, from radical leftist to conservative truth-teller. Her “conversion experience” consisted of launching an investigation into the diversion of € 250 million in EU aid for the Palestinian people into corrupt uses, including the financing of terror attacks on innocent civilians. She characterizes this diversion as an “open secret” within EU officialdom, one which has the implicit endorsement of the EU powers that be.

Read the article. It marks an important moment in the EU’s self-understanding, and in America’s and other freedom-loving peoples’ – including especially Israel – understanding of the real motives of Europe’s ruling elites.

European Union Parliament member Ilka Schroeder delivered an address entitled,

"The European Union, Israel, and Palestinian Terrorism" at the Center for German Studies

of Ben Gurion University on Monday.

"The Europeans," explained MP Schroeder, "supported the Palestinian Authority with the aim of becoming its main sponsor, and through this, challenge the U.S. and present themselves as the future global power. Therefore, the Al-Aksa Intifada should be understood as a proxy war between Europe and the United States."

"It is an open secret within the European Parliament that EU aid to the Palestinian Authority has not been spent correctly," MP Schroeder said during a recent address in New York. "The European Parliament does not intend to verify whether European taxpayers' money could have been used to finance anti-Semitic murderous attacks. Unfortunately, this fits well with European policy in this area."

MP Schroeder, a twenty-five-year-old former member of the German Green Party, began her political career protesting the war in Kosovo and denouncing globalization. A year ago, MP Schroeder set her sights on an issue long avoided by members of the radical Left - the diverting of some of the 250 million in annual aid for the Arabs of Yesha (Judea, Samaria and Gaza) to corrupt officials and terrorist groups bent on Israel's destruction.

MP Schroeder managed to initiate an inquiry by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) into the issue despite significant pressure from her colleagues and fellow parliamentarians to ignore it. MP Schroeder has derided her colleagues who wish to ignore the issue of EU money funding terrorism against Jews as "simple-minded anti-Semites." She has also accused EU External Relations Commissioner Chris Patten of "winking approval of terrorist attacks funded by the EU."

In her Ben Gurion University address, MP Schroeder argued, "The primary goal of the EU is the internationalization of the conflict in order to underline the need for its own mediating role," warning that renewed European calls for a multinational force in the region - heard most recently by the head of the largest political bloc in the parliament - combined with heightened levels of anti-Semitism in Europe and the Arab world, could spell disaster for Jews everywhere. "The Palestinians are playing the ugly role of being the cannon fodder for Europe's hidden war against the U.S.," she adds.

While MP Schroeder's call for accountability in EU funding was supported by nearly one quarter of the 626-member parliament, she appears grimly convinced that her efforts to expose anti-Zionism, which she sees as Europe’s polite version of anti-Semitism, has come to naught. MP Schroeder has been embraced by many Jewish groups in Europe and the U.S. and decided to visit Israel for her first time in order to further research the EU’s role in the region.

"There is no difference in the consciousness of an average member of the European Parliament and an average German peace demonstrator, and I consider this to be a mixture of naivete, moralism, anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Zionism and an altogether serious danger," she said during her U.S. speaking tour. "It is against these trends that my efforts are directed."

Thank God someone is finally saying it!

For 40 years the Islamic cults have been allowed to roam the globe, killing innocents, with impunity.

They have been coddled, made into victims, and supported by Europe and the UN. (with their willing left-wing medias)

When we fight back, without any commies on our side, as in WWII, we are condemned.

The Kerry/UN/Soros ticket, who have said that "we must burst the bubble of American Supremacy", will be elected by the world's media, (including the US).

Will there then be another revolution?

I dont need to read the article to know what goes on. But I am glad that a YOUNG European can see through the BS. Of course the money earmarked for the PA is abused and used for terror. How the heck do they think arafats Swiss accounts got so fat? Chirac, Shroeder, and the rest of the euro Jew haters write the checks knowing only a few will see the money, and a portion of that will be used to kill Israelis!

It's a French proxy war, not 'European'.

Europe is now merely a geographical expression.

Nope. This is indeed a war. One side must win. The other must lose.

me_newswire, thanx for the info.

...will this go away?

Not until the French are defeated and their Arab proxies humiliated.
