Polish soldiers in Iraq: Suprising survey
The newest survey carried for newspaper "Fakt" was a complete suprise. The number of people wanting that our soldiers stay in Iraq is increasing. Today 39 % of the population support Iraq mission , it is an increase of 10 % in comparison with previous month .Despite of increasing risk of the mission and some casualty support is rising. Why polish people changed its mind ? asks "Fakt".
It is not so easy to scare us. After the tragedy last week many people thougth that polish people will ask for retreat of our soldiers from Iraq, but they were proved wrong. The number of supporter is raising strongly.
"Such moral support is very important for our soldiers" said polish minister of defence . "If we would withdraw our soldiers from Iraq we would give in to terrorists" he added. The chief of polish special froces GROM Roman Polko praise polish soldiers saying "Those that serve in Iraq are doing it with lot of courage and sacrifice so it is not supraising that the people are proud of our soldiers"
"We never leave our friends that are in trouble" said the creator of GROM gen. S³awomir Petelicki.

Polacy w Iraku: Zaskakuj¹cy sonda¿
"Fakt": Kompletne zaskoczenie budzi najnowszy sonda¿ TNS OBOP dla "Faktu". Coraz wiêcej Polaków chce, by nasi ¿o³nierze pozostali w Iraku - podkrela dziennik.
Dzi zwolenników irackiej misji jest ju¿ 39 proc. O 10 proc. wiêcej ni¿ przed miesi¹cem. Mimo miertelnych ofiar. Mimo coraz wiêkszego ryzyka zamachów. Dlaczego Polacy w³anie teraz zmienili zdanie? - stawia pytanie "Fakt".
Liczba zwolenników naszej misji w Iraku wzros³a. I to sporo! - stwierdza "Fakt".
"Takie wsparcie jest teraz naszym ¿o³nierzom bardzo potrzebne" - ucieszy³ siê minister obrony Jerzy Szmajdziñski, gdy "Fakt" powiedzia³ mu o wynikach sonda¿u. "To tak¿e zas³uga ich profesjonalizmu" - chwali naszych. I powtarza, ¿e gdybymy teraz wycofali siê z Iraku, to oddalibymy pole terrorystom.
Polskich ¿o³nierzy chwali te¿ by³y szef specjalnej jednostki GROM Roman Polko, który sam ze swoimi ludmi walczy³ w Iraku. "Ci, którzy tam s³u¿¹, robi¹ to naprawdê z du¿ym powiêceniem i zaanga¿owaniem. Nic dziwnego, ¿e Polacy s¹ dumni ze swoich ¿o³nierzy" - t³umaczy.
"S³yniemy z tego, ¿e nie zostawiamy przyjació³ w potrzebie" - dorzuca z dum¹ twórca GROM-u S³awomir Petelicki.

Thank God for the Poland. They know like most of us that if terrorist are not stopped none of us will be free. To bad the liberal and media don't get it.

Says it all about the Poles, doesn't it?

Sorry of the quality of translation but my english is not very good. I enjoyed it! It made me fondly remember growing up in a Polish neighborhood as a kid. I was wondering how an online translator could make that Polish accent!
What good people.

Unfortunatly, I don't think they'll get their fair due. We'd rather go on kissing Germany's and France's buttocks rather than letting them sink as they should.
We should turn our backs on these so called freinds and embrace the peoples that help us.
Besides, why cultivate the freindship of the Axis of Weasels, if they are willing to turn a blind eye to the brutilization of an entire population for a few oil bucks.

They deserve my tourism dollars. Good point. Maybe more Americans can take a pass on Germany this year and visit some of our friends.
Italy's nice this time of year. And America has more friends lower down the Danube than Germany. Even the Turks have been more helpful than most of western Europe.
And don't forget England -- their rail service stands up to anyone on the Continent, plus they have their great BABA system -- "book a bed ahead", you'll never need a hotel.

Poland's courage and steadfastness in adversity is legendary, with many examples in a too often tragic history. Poland is a better and more deserving ally to the United States than most of Europe, which increasingly reveals itself to be a parasitic collection of ingrates, freeloaders, and fair weather friends.

If you go to www.poltran.com, you can cut and paste Polish text and get a half-decent English translation.

My in-laws run a hotel in north east Poland that is new and the food is phenomenal! It's only a few years old, and is close enough to places like Warsaw, Gdansk and Vilnius (Lithuania) for day trips. Here's the link to their web site--the husband is Polish (my Polish husband's cousin) and his wife is a Brit. Awesome, awesome people who run the absolutely most American style (friendly, prompt, courteous) place I have stayed at in Europe (and we have been ALL over the place!). The price is obscenely low, and your American money will go further than most places in Europe (and into much more deserving an economy!) Check 'em out! (There is a live web cam) We are going for a week in July--maybe we can get a bunch of us together and have a Polish FReeper vacation!

Read that only *american style* as the quality of their service. The food is a mixture of Polish and English pub food (but cooked with flavor!) Think draft beer and a fresh salmon steak and three sides of your choice for about three dollars!
