Most Americans, if you can distract them from their golf games or trips to Vegas, simply do not care what the rest of the world thinks about them. The fact is they (Americans...outside of a few far left fringers who think N.Korea is a paradise) do not care one whit about the sensibilities of a few puffed-up Euro conspiratorialists or dissatisfied Brit Tories who've been stewing since 1776.

The fact is the Euros and Brits who hate America and Bush most likely hated America and whoever was the pres long before Dubya was elected. I've been reading this Americans-are-just-bunch-of-uncouth-ignorant-barbarians stuff announced from on high by Euros for many years predating Bush II. Bush II just seems to rattle their cages a little more. A more refined Goethe-and-Shakespeare quoting Bush wouldn't get much more traction. They'd just hate us a little less that's all. So my reaction is the same as most Americans when criticized by the pompous types delineated in this article: stuff it!... each and every one you pretentious Euro snob, anti-Semitic nitwits.
