Apparently there's not enough action in bucolic Chappaqua to keep ex-President Clinton entertained, so he's been looking for a new home-away-from-home in the city that never sleeps.
"Friends say he's yearning to have a pied-a-terre where he could move and shake in Manhattan," reports the New York Post.
"He's been looking for a place primarily on the Upper West Side with a couple of bedrooms for about $2 million," said one real estate agent familiar with Clinton's apartment plans.
Before he was tied down with the deadline of having to finish his multi-million dollar memoir, Clinton was said to be bored in his Westchester County environs.
And lonely too, since Hillary is busy with her own Washington career and seldom visits anymore.
According to June's Vanity Fair, Clinton would frequently seek out strangers to talk to, popping into the village deli to chat with customers or even hanging out in the local saloon.
The restless Democrat's Harlem office hasn't worked out the way he'd hoped either, what with Mrs. Clinton's former chief of staff Maggie Williams redeployed to keep an eye on his comings and goings. Neighbors say Clinton seldom bothers to show up.
Living in Manhattan, however, "he could grab coffee at Starbucks with former Texas Gov. Ann Richards, or go bar-hopping with former Maine Sen. George Mitchell, who also lives in Richards' Upper West side building," the Post noted.
Other transplanted ex-pols include Nebraska Sen. and current New School University president Bob Kerrey; former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld; and Democrat-turned-Republican former Texas Sen. Phil Gramm.
Clinton recently told a New York audience that after months of being cooped up finishing his book, "I've been in writer's jail. I need my life back."
And lonely too, since Hillary is busy with her own Washington career and seldom visits anymore.
This is just too funny for words, the bottom line is there aren't any young girls in Chappaqua for him to date. And are we supposed to believe he wants Hillary around?
A $2 million home, not bad for a scumbag who never held a real job. Who says working for the government doesn't pay?
It's still all about sex.
" Mrs. Clinton's former chief of staff Maggie Williams redeployed to keep an eye on his comings and goings."
I have every faith that, if Hillary allows this "pied-a-terre" (how very French}, she will install a minder for Bill.
*Whew!* I was holding my breath, hoping that IT hadn't discovered the beauty of southwestern Michigan.
o well... seems to be enjoying life a little more than gore.... arrrrrrrrrrr
Visits? Wives are supposed to VISIT their husbands and home? What's up with that?
Sorry all you New Yorkers.....but, it sounds like New York is PRIME terroritory (OMG....what a weird thing my fingers spelled) for scumbags like many commie libs talked about here in this piece.
Yeah...I thought "visit" was a weird way to put it....most husband's and wives meet, eat, sleep, etc. together....but, nooooo, not these two fakes.
He's gonna go to Starbucks and hit on some 18 year old girls making lattes. Its going to be like a bad movie.
with Ann Richards. That's the only truthful statement I have ever heard clinton make. The ONLY thing he's gonna grab with Ann Richards is coffee. Much to her dismay, I'm sure.
That merits a "gasping for air" LOL!
Unless there are gullible young women there he doesn't want anything to do with it, besides in southwest Michigan just about everyone owns a rifle and these guys won't hesitate to use it on some dirty old man trying to hit their daughters.
Pad, pad....where have I heard that before.
He ought to move in with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion, Playboy's circulation is way down and they could use some publicity.
I'm sure he's angling for a way to get the taxpayers to pick up the tab for his new pad.
Don't be surprised if the "security enhancements" total $2 million or more. It irritates me to no end that we will be picking up the tab for this, although I'd be willing to pay for a "private apartment" in Leavenworth.
