Bambis born in Oslo (with pics)

An Oslo resident witnessed a rare sight in her own garden this week. When she glanced out her kitchen window while making a cup of tea on Wednesday, she spotted a deer near her family's outdoor trampoline. That's a sight in itself, but something unusual was going on...

It's a little known fact that it was actually Thumper who took down Bambi's mom.

True story.

Michael Moore has a 20 minute interview with Thumper, but won't release it because he hasn't figured out how to spin it against Bush.... ERRRR... I mean he has to clear it with the grieving family.

Nice pics, good animals. Social skills to raise up the baby.

I still eat meat. I own guns. But I could never shoot a deer.

"...I still eat meat. I own guns. But I could never shoot a deer..."

You will when you're hungry enough, Monty.

Bringing game home was something we did naturally when I was a kid. It was called 'food', and my mother cooked it for dinner, and canned the leftovers - we didn't know about botulism then. Hare, Pheasant, Muskrat, Squirrel, or Deer - it was just 'food'. Whatever you could take-down with a headshot with a '.22'.

Now, I get my meat at Winn-Dixie. The only thing I wanna shoot now is the occasional crappy-headed clerk. Stay well, pal..............FRegards

You would if they were ravaging YOUR property and being a hazard on the roads! They are also the carriers of the damned Lyme disease giving ticks.

Deer are mammalian cockroaches, but they taste better than bugs.

I would do what I needed if hungry, sure. Including human meat.

However, I just don't want to deal with that, and hope I don't need to. I'd rather not kill my own food.

Here in Illinois they are a real hazard, and cause a lot of damage to vehicles and crops.

My son just hit one (a deer) last night on a trip to Oklahoma. Called at midnite to give us the 411, nasty damage.

They are as bad as squirrels. If I could shoot a gun in the city limits, the yard would be littered with squirrels.

Well, I couldn't either because I'm soft-hearted like that.

But I sure like eating the deer my friends shoot. Especially that deer sausage.
