I'm new here, too, so excuse me if I'm out of line, but this guy's account has been suspended. Makes it hard for him to respond.

It helps tremendously to come on and answer posts...That is why I asked you to respond. Trolls usually post and run.
FRiendly advice...you are fairly new and if you've not noticed, we are bombarded with trolls.. ..some were even sleepers who registered years ago.
You must admit it is a really hateful piece and could cause "troll" suspicion...

Yea, but posting a real article that is, other than complete crap, from a real source isn't cause to get banned.
This is actually worthy of a post because it appeared in a newspaper. Its not some personal trollish diatribe.

Others say newbies should create a persona through posting to threads before posting anti Bush trash, no matter what the intention...It could be good advice...at least the mods seemed to think so.
If he has been banned before, they may have discovered he is a retread.

There are different types too. There are the outright trolls, who post total bs. There are the hit-and-run trolls that post a story that is written by a leftist, make a short comment and then never make another comment in the whole thread. Then there are the spiker trolls (yes, I'm making up that name), that tweak a thread with snide comments that don't add anything; they simply are here to spike the thread with liberal hate.
And, as an operating foundation, this is a conservative website. Our gracious FR founder, JimRob, has made it clear, in no uncertain terms (Link), that this is a conservative forum and if you don't like it, get out. Period. Yet, trolls persist. And, in fairness, BigJnSA (I think) did reply to me, but the reply was removed by mod. To be fair to him, I will repost what he wrote
I find it peculiar that when he replied his name was "jeremymann", but when he posted the article it was "BigJnSA". Why? Because he got banned and re-signed up right away. That's a bit of a tip off too to being a troll...sorry to say.

Think before you speak my friend. I am NOT a troll. If you see my comments from previous, you would get that. I post something that I thought was in bad taste and shocked it came from Texas and I'm marked as a troll? Um... what gives here?

Well, frankly when you are brand new to the forum, you can say anything you want. I have been an active member of this forum for almost 4 years. I am a monthly donor as well. Here's the thing. I lurked for 2 years before I made my account official and started posting. I started posting comments. Then, after some time, I started posting articles. All of that was after I had learned the "norms" for posting in this forum.
This, in part, retorts BigJnSA/jeremymann's other comment, "I post something that I thought was in bad taste and shocked it came from Texas and I'm marked as a troll?
You are when you don't know that if indeed that is the case, you should let your FRiends know that with a BARF alert or some other cue so we indeed know the article is crap.
Georgia, in re-reading your comment about the first line of the post, I agree that perhaps that was his "disclaimer". Again, I think he needs to hold off on the posting until he knows how to do it right. His comment shouldn't be in the body, it should be in the "Comments" area. Which is probably why I overlooked it.
Perhaps BigJnSA/jeremymann was just bad form. But, combine the new membership, the questionable posting form, the content of the article-- I don't think that we are too far off in assuming this person was just another troll.
Starting out making comments is the way to start. Learn your way around. Learn about some of the posters. Maybe BigJnSA/jeremymann needs to follow that advice.
