the President needs to have a primetime conference, complete with charts showing what he ACTUALLY said and how the media is twisting it

I wish he would do that too. Remember how he was able to explain the stem cell issue three years ago?

He can make people understand. He did an outstanding job explaining stem cell research. Most people considered that issue why too complicated to understand before his speech. Most people understood it fine when he was done.

Time for him to pull up a blackboard and explain all this.

Great point re his stem cell speech. He could bring the same clarity to the media spin on Iraq and the 9/11 Commission. I agree with the other poster who said that he needs to emulate Reagan in going around the media and straight to the people.
