Chris Hansen from Modesto will be the Guest Speaker at Central Valley Right to Life (CVRTL) meeting this Thursday, June 24, 7 p.m., at Carrows Restaurant meeting room, Blackstone near Ashlan, 4280 N. Blackstone Ave. in Fresno.
Chris will be sharing his personal abortion survivor story. When Chris’ mother was pregnant with him, Chris’ father tried his best to force her to have an abortion. Chris says, "My blindness doesn’t slow me down much and through Christian love I have been able to forgive and overcome many challenges."
Chris will also be discussing the Terri Schiavo case. Terri is the severely brain damaged woman in Florida who has been the subject of a long-running court battle between Terri’s parents, the Schindlers who want Terri to live, and Terri’s husband, Michael Schiavo who wants her to die by starvation and hydration.
The Schiavo case was in the news again last week when the Florida Supreme Court agreed to rule on the constitutionality of the Florida Legislature and Gov. Jeb Bush’s attempts to save Terri’s life.

Chris believes, as do pro life individuals and organizations all over the world that Terri Schiavo’s worth as a human being should not be based on her productivity level. As a person with a disability himself, Chris is well qualified to have his opinion heard on this matter.
Chris is a recently-published author – "Revelation Revisited; St. John’s Visions of the Future" – published by Xlibris. He is a Sunday School teacher, a volunteer with Modesto Gospel Mission and Rock Bottom Ministries. He is also a phone counselor for Child Evangelism. Chris is happily married with two grown daughters.
When the Gary Condit scandal was in full swing, Chris was on the front lines at anti-Condit rallies in Modesto held in front of Condit’s district office. Chris says, "Some politicians don’t like me!" He has been an outspoken critic of the policies and practices of left-leaning politicians.

Chris Hansen was there on the front lines in Modesto most Saturdays protesting the despicable Gary Condit.
I can't wait to hear what Chris is going to say about his abortion survivor story and about Terri Schiavo.

Maybe we should have a reunion in Modesto - all us FReepers who FReeped all those Saturdays - to protest the fact that apparently Gary "Scary Gary" Condit has gotten away with murder.

I hate to ask, but is he blind because of the attempted abortion? It's not clear from the story.
I'll ask Chris tonight and let you know. Why do you hate to ask? If you knew Chris, you wouldn't feel funny at all.
Chris' speech was very powerful. He told us that his mother was told she couldn't have children in the first place, for medical reasons, so when she got pregnant it was a shock! Chris' "father" could only think of one thing: Go to Mexico and get rid of this problem. Chris' Mom said NO (thank God)!
Chris was only two pounds at birth and not expected to live. They put him in an incubator and turned up the oxygen too high which caused the blindness.
We all just sat there in awe as Chris shared his abortion survivor story, discussed Terri Schiavo situation, and told why abortion is such an evil in our society.
I'm going to try to find ways for Chris to speak to larger audiences. He should be giving this speech all over the world!

You have no idea! Speaking of inspirational guys, Jim Robinson HIMSELF was there along with his adorable wife Sheila and their cool son, Chris.
Chris took the Greyhound bus from Modesto to Fresno and back. He arrived home after midnight. All alone and blind. What a guy!
The Carrows Restaurant had a braile menu which was very cool so Chris could order whatever he wanted without us butting our noses into his business. He had the prime rib and it was very good, too!
Chris is a stud. No doubt about that!
