The Bush-hating group that the Boston Herald dubbed "Crooks for Kerry" has caved to pressure and now says it won't send violent employees door to door.The divisive outfit, which comically calls itself "America Coming Together," claimed that since spring (which ended just a few days ago) its "policy has been that we're not going to employ violent felons," said mouthpiece Mo Elliethee. "We're going to conduct this background check to ensure we're not."
The Associated Press blew the whistle on the group after discovering that it had hired felons - guilty of sex crimes, assault, burglary and other serious offenses - to register Democrat voters.
"It's a public safety issue," Missouri GOP spokesman Paul Sloca told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "But more importantly, what are the registrations showing that they collected? Are these registrations legitimate, or are they fraudulent?"
The newspaper reported that a fourth of the 12,000 registrations the group collected in St. Louis were bogus.

How nice...make $12 an hour...while checking out the homes to see where the widows and single girls live..who's got guard dogs or alarms and who doesn't...and what kind of neat stuff there is to steal...
Not to mention under the guise and protection of a legit business they might be able to dupe the gullible into letting them into the house...where they can do some serious detaliled casing of the home...noting where the windows are routes of approach places to hide etc etc...

Anyone ever find out why the canvassers were asking for SS numbers? Is that allowed?
No. There is no reason to ask for Social Security numbers...unless one plans to create some "alternate" identities or double-check to see who people voted for. I don't even think my Social Security number is anywhere near the voting records. What the heck?

Well, they were asking for, and getting if you can believe it, SS numbers in at least one state. If folks get their IDs stolen later, they can thank the Dems in addition to themselves for the mess.
The DNC ()I mean "Crooks for Kerry" are asking for Social Security Numbers? Are these areas with large minority populations who may not know better? I wonder if some "thuggery" was also going on ie strong arming or lying to people to get their Social Security Numbers. I can just hear it now: "Give us your SS number & we'll make sure Bush doesn't get reelected.
Wonder what other little tricks the "crooks" were pulling.
Hmmm....felons aren't even allowed to vote. Maybe they should sweeten the pot and hire a few illegals to canvas.
The funny thing is people will begin turning away requests to register. Next headline, "Crime Increases under Bush - Causes Dem Voter Registration to Plummet!!".
"Crooks for Kerry"--wouldn't that be most Democrats? Will there be a merger with the "Dead for Kerry" and the "Fictitious Citizens for Kerry" groups?
The kerry-ites have said that rapists are not okay.
However, by implication: Robbers and murders are okay.
What the kerry-ites message means:
We are going to steal the election, and if you get in the way: we will send the murderers to see you.
They want to make phony IDs so their people can vote as many times as they can. This way they have a live body and not the dead voting. Works every time.

anyone know if Americans Coming Together is affiliated with American Community Services, which hires also people from the inner cities and buses them around to sell magazines? Employees have murdered three women, raped others, assaulted other employees, and died in van crashes driven by unqualified drivers.

Describe to me how one gets a felony conviction for anything but "serious offenses." And as you (it was you, right?) noted, this no-axe-murderer-and-baby-raper clause is a whole day old.
