BILL CLINTON'S LIFE: ARROGANCE AND LIES
NY POST ^ | 6/27/04 | LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Posted on 06/27/2004 4:32:04 AM PDT by Liz

THE ISSUE: Former President Bill Clinton steals back the stage with his new book.

Bill Clinton still doesn't get it ("Clinton Comes Clean," Editorial, June 18). His hubris and arrogance were what led him into the trap that others set for him. All he had to say when asked about his extramarital dalliances was, "I do not answer questions about my personal life." That would have been the end of the story. Rudy Giuliani did that with his affair. President Bush did that regarding his wild college days. Now, Clinton writes another 1,000 pages of nonsense? He still doesn't get it. Matthew Fraguela Manhattan

*****

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton claimed he was impeached for a "non-impeachable offense." Lying under oath, no matter what the subject, is a crime — therefore, it is an impeachable offense. Maureen Scanlon Staten Island

*****

Clinton's problems are still everyone's fault except his own. In all of his recent interviews, Clinton is blaming either Ken Starr or that "vast right-wing conspiracy" for his good name being dragged through the mud. It's time for Clinton to be a man and admit that he jumped into that mud all by himself. Joe Mulvanerton Sunnyside

As a citizen of the United States, I feel the need to apologize to the international community for placing a man with such corrupt values on the world stage. Clinton let the threat of terrorism fester for eight years. Robert Kelleher Queens

Clinton stated that Bush's timing was off on the invasion of Iraq. That makes sense coming from Clinton, who always did have a keen sense of timing. It brings to mind Rwanda. That was quite good timing. Only after about 800,000 Africans were slaughtered did Clinton finally determine the timing was right to dip his toe in the conflict. I don't know how good the timing was for the dead 800,000 Africans. But then, they never got a chance to write a book about it and get paid $10 million dollars for their opinions. Perhaps when all the fanfare about Clinton's book tour dies down, someone in the African-American community might want to look at Clinton's record a bit more closely and start to ask a few questions. Gary Friedman Glencoe, Ill.

He is a typically deluded liberal and his biggest fault is that he thinks he can act with impunity and that we should all forget about his sexual transgressions, lying, etc, b/c he's such a "nice guy."

"He is a typically deluded liberal. . ."

. . .yes, and he is a typically enabled liberal. Great to see those letters getting it 'right on'; I hope the majority of American's understand the blight of this man; and the damage done.

Pathetic, that we still have a Lib media that celebrates this man for us; and his wife.

The no-holds-barred mentality---Clinton's admission that he dallied with Moanica "because he could"---is rampant in all aspects of liberalism and is a cautionary tale about the dangers of having liberals in positions of power, especially in govt and in media.

Disturbed liberals arrogant sense of entitlement is culturally destructive; they recognize no greater good higher than themselves.

Now this explains why they are paranoid about public manifestations of religion. After all, religion sets parameters for human behavior. Libs and religion----it's like holding a cross before a vampire-----they just go all to pieces (smirk).

Libs get their jollies dictating to the rest of us how to live, and what we can or cannot think or believe. ADL Abe and the Thought Police railed against The Passion of The Christ movie. These religion-haters were paranoid that people would actually be exposed to religious thoughts.

Yet, here's what passes for deluded liberal "thinking" nowadays. Libs blithely say that 24/7 non-stop sexually explicit music and TV shows, MTV's raunch, violent blood and guts-filled videos and movies have no effect on audiences, especially kids, that its "make-believe."

However, a 15-second commercial is expected to compel hundreds of millions of Americans to buy billions of dollars of soup, soap, deodorant and depilatory.

Typical of disturbed, deluded liberals. They want to have it both ways........a good definition of schizophrenia.

So how exactly did writing this book help BJ's image, or the political career of the junior Senator of NY? I must be missing something. If his book is getting such negative rewiews from the sheeple what did he gain except a huge payday? (Not that that's a bad thing)

It reminds me of something that needs a mega-dose of Viagra.

I know that the letters were published in the NY Post but I was pointing to the rag across town. The NY Times is so supportive of Clinton that I would say that they would defend him even if he was guilty of murder!

Given Clintons early life experiences, I'm surprised it didn't look like this:

"I can't help it, but his "library" - the Clinton Presidential Center, reminds me of a house trailer sitting on concrete blocks."

You, sir, are on to something! I have seen house trailers in hilly terrain, that did indeed, look just like the drawing of the Clinton library you posted.

How would one go about having Freepers look for house trailers to photograph, so as to create a grahic image comparing such house trailers side by side to the Clinton library?

Is that really how it looks? I saw a picture of it posted here on one of these threads, but I thought that they were joking. OMG. Bill Clinton must be the king of bad taste.
