Reached out to Mitchell and had a secret meeting with Edwards at Madame Halfbright's D.C. home. Isn't that reassuring?

Why the misleading headline? He didn't ask Disney or ABC News for advice. He asked George Mitchell. That's not the same thing.

It is only befitting that John Kerry reach out to one of his top PR firms for advice on who to select.

Stinks to high heaven.
Conservative media types should be all over this.
What is the crime? Not the getting of advice.
But, if it's true that a news network has participated in selecting a candidate WHO was then selected, then their OBJECTIVITY is forevermore in that campaign destroyed.

I think we make a big thing out of nothing. George Mitchell is a former Democratic senator from Maine and majority leader (1989-1995).

What's discouraging is the morning news on ABC was nothing more than a campaign commercial for drawl boy Edwards. Can they be a little less transparent?

Several thoughts:
1) Is John "Flipper" Kerry going to run to Disney/ABC every time he has to make a decision in the Oval Office?
2) No wonder "telegenic" Edwards was named. Can you imagine Disney/ABC recommending Kucinich (for ex.)?!!!!!!!

Internet sources are reporting that the senator "reached out" to Mitchell for advice and counsel. The Disney chairman oversees the ABC Television Network and ABC NEWS.
Oh, please, please, help me make up my mind. Oh, okay, sure, I'll pick the guy that I razzed for lack of experience and then turn around and talk about what a great guy he is for my ticket. That'll make great sense! Oh, George, you're just sooo cool!

Mitchell and Eisner should be too busy rearranging deck chairs on the SS Disney right about now to be giving out advice. Then again, if Eisner and Mitchell can do for Kerry what they did for Disney, we should all be grateful.

Misleading headline. This is like saying Bush asked Haliburton for VP advice in 2000, since Cheney was still president of Haliburton at the time.

...the senator "reached out" to Mitchell for advice and counsel...If the stupid voters elect this imbecile and his vice-imbecile this country will not be fit to live in! The Klinton years started a 45 degree slide into a cesspool and here we have the makings of a team that will finish the job.
Albright, Reno and the host of others will be back in. Perhaps the simple-minded Kerry, in reaching out for a surgeon general will pluck Jocelyn Elders!

If Kerry is asking for advice from the entertainment industry it's with the expectation that he will be back later to ask for more campaign money.
I don't want to be cynical, but it makes me wonder what Edwards was doing at Disneyland last week. Was it a little PR or shilling for the donors?
