I met a woman yesterday who is a former attorney...actually quit after having her children and because of the slims she had to associate with. I guess there actually are some attorneys with standards. She said that once other lawyers started telling their tales of Edwards, he would be hurting. She said he was known throughout their community as an ambulance chaser and a sleeze!!

That's what I'm hearing, too; I have been a court reporter since 1980, involved in a lot of high profile cases here in North Carolina; I'd never heard of this guy until he ran in 1998 for the Senate.
