Elizabeth Edwards Defends Whoopi Raunchfest

The wife of vice presidential hopeful John Edwards is defending Whoopi Goldberg after the potty-mouthed comedienne attacked President Bush with an X-rated monologue at Thursday night's Kerry-Edwards fundraiser in New York.

Rejecting calls for her husband's campaign to apologize for Goldberg's outburst, Mrs. Edwards said Friday that the anti-Bush tirade was justified.

"A lot of people are going to be angry - there's a lot to be angry about," she told reporters at a fundraising breakfast on Manhattan's West side. "It's a free country and people are going to express that anger."

Well, he couldn't really "dump her" since she has gained her weight since he was elected. She was actually thin when he was running for the Senate, but having a child at 50 is not gonna help you be a Victoria's Secret model.

Ridiculing her weight is childish and I might agree we shouldn't do it, except I remember what the pigs on the Left did to Katherine Harris, Linda Tripp, Paula Jones, Barbara Bush, etc. It feels great to hit back once in a while.

I have to agree with you there. Remember what Cheney said to Leahey. I'm glad he said it, and he didn't try to attach any "value" to it. It's the people who are swayed to vote dem by these "Cool" personalities that concern me.How many people actually believe what Moore is pushing because that particular film was their introduction to politics?
