Freudian slip (Houston Chronicle refers to John F. Kerry as "President Kerry")

Freudian slip

The Chronicle has since corrected the problem in this story, but a google news search currently confirms an alert from a reader earlier:

John Edwards a good and expedient choice Houston Chronicle, TX - 12 hours ago

... President Kerry overlooked Edwards' slim political experience because the son of a mill worker is an effective campaigner who excites the party faithful and ...

We know that's your preference guys, but maybe you should at least wait until the election.

-------

What liberal media?

By Kevin Whited

The Chronicle made OpinionJournal's Best of the Web today, although "worst" of the web might be more accurate:

What Liberal Media?
"An editorial in Wednesday's Chronicle carelessly referred to Sen. John Kerry in one reference as 'President Kerry.' The Chronicle regrets the error."--correction, Houston Chronicle, July 7

The good folks at the Wall Street Journal were poking fun at the Chronicle for a correction it ran today.

Your friends here at Chronically Biased pointed out the error yesterday, and linked to the cached Google news version after the Chronicle changed it online.

We're reminded, though we never saw a correction for this item. Come on Jeff Cohen! Just because your errors don't appear in the Wall Street Journal doesn't mean they aren't worthy of correction!

Well, it says that on the side of F'ns plane, so it must be true.

Dan Quayle got trashed because a teacher couldn't spell potato and he didn't catch her error; but when a newspaper can't even figure out who the current president is, it gets a pass?

Wishing won't make it so, boys. Let's get the stiff formally nominated first, shall we?

I either laugh or get livid when some liberal moron says "there's no liberal media--the media is conservative" yadda yadda...

This is one of countless examples of why that is BS.

Thanks!

The editors at this canary cage liner are truly arrogant.

A few weeks ago my wife was back in the midwest visting relatives. The couple of times her relatives turned on the tv to get the local weather on the news, the blathering ones would say, "Senator Kerry, Presidential Candidate, blasts Bush."

She saw this wording a couple of times in local canary cage liners.

"You tell the people a lie enough times, they'll believe it..."
Adolph Hitler.

The Houston Regurgitator knows exactly what it's doing.

Well I suppose they figured it would be the only chance they'll really ever get to call him president anyway.

"President Kerry". Proof the media is controlled by the VRWC.

More likely, they're trying to associate Kerry's name with the title "president" in order to influence votes. Some people really are that stupid.

Mark Knowler (sp?), heard on CBS News at the top of the hour on 740 AM and 950 AM, also does the "Mr. Bush" shtick at times. Grrrr.

They logically point out the fact that AM radio is full of conservative talk shows and there are a few newspapers with conservative leanings. That fact alone proves that the libs don't control absolutely everything. Therefore, it must be under VRWC control.
It's so easy once you open your mind and let some air in.
