No, I agree that this is a truly horrible crime, and that no punishment would be too severe for the person who committed it. I'm just saying that you can't have policy-by-anecdote. If I were to form my judgements about heterosexuality based on the vast number of women that are raped and assaulted by men, I'd be in the same position as people who want to ban homosexuality when a gay guy molests a kid.

And, by the way, I put no stock in "statistics" kept by organizations whose sole purpose in life is to end homosexuality. To say they present their stats in a biased manner is putting it lightly.

I don't want to ban homosexuality between consenting adults. I'm just sick of having it shoved down my throat and held up as the standard that we should all respect. I'm sick of being told that we should teach our children to accept it, and even engage in it. I'm sick of the media pretending that crimes against homosexuals are common, and crimes by homosexuals are nonexistent. I'm sick of being told that I have to be tolerant of a lifestyle that endangers my lifestyle. I'm not talking about homosexual relationships. I'm talking about the in-your-face perverts. I will never accept this.
