Senator Barbara A. Mikulski, a Maryland Democrat and the dean of the female senators. Dean..is that what they call them now.
I would say that she is the BANE..

Kerry was worried that if she spoke, the hall would be filled with hundreds of people holding up "Hillary '08!" signs.....Wouldn't look good for the cameras..

Well I think it would be hard even for a Clinton to praise and endorse Kerry, knowing full well that you are trying to make him fail so bad that Kerry has no choice but to withdraw at the last moment and let the party nominate you.
