Statement by Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CO) Regarding
(title was incomplete so I finished it)
WASHINGTON, DC Today, Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CO) issued the following statement:
"John Kerry may have been born in Colorado, but he learned his priorities in Massachusetts. Kerry is trying to pull off an extreme makeover of his votes for higher taxes and opposition to President Bush's plan to guarantee affordable drugs for our nation's seniors, which helped earn him the ranking of the Senate's most out of the mainstream member. Kerry voted in favor of the Iraq War and then voted against $87 billion in funding to send supplies like body armor to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Coloradoans aren't going to place their faith in a candidate who says he is 'proud' to have opposed funding our troops and then claims that voting to send them body armor was a 'complicated' matter.
"Iraq isn't the only issue where Kerry has an explanation to fit each audience--Kerry told Western voters earlier this month that he likes 'a lot of parts' of the Healthy Forests bill after saying the law took 'a chainsaw to public forests.' Colorado voters know the importance of authenticity, and they're not going to trust a candidate who shifts his positions depending on the audience in front of him.
"John Kerry says he represents 'conservative values,' but told a New York City audience that hate-filled celebrity rants against President Bush represent the 'heart and soul of our country.' Kerry will have a chance to see America's real heart and soul when he comes to Colorado, and he should release the videotape of that hate-filled New York City fundraiser so Coloradoans can see the hate and rage that Kerry thinks typifies our nation."
Kerry dump.
Every time I hear "Kerry" and "extreme makeover" in the same sentence, the phrase "putting lipstick on a pig" runs through my head, lol!
Allard is great here!
